The cultural heritage project "Gent Gemapt" is a collaboration between Ghent University Library, STAM - Ghent City Museum, the House of Alijn, the Museum of Industry, the Ghent Archives, the Amsab Institute for Social History, Liberas, and the Ghent Heritage Agency. It was developed by the Ghent Centre for Digital Humanities at Ghent University.

- " The Map " is the heart of Ghent Mapped. It's an innovative presentation platform that spatially unlocks the splendor of Ghent's heritage collections. You can search, zoom, and scroll through the city's time and space.
- " Gent Verrijkt " (Ghent Enriched) is located next to De Kaart and is the digital toolbox of Gent Gmapped. Museums and archives are calling on volunteers to help transcribe, date, describe, and identify their collections.
- With this project, the heritage partners are innovating in digital technology. Ghent Mapped uses open-source technology Omeka S, Madoc, IIIF (International Image Interoperability Framework), Linked Open Data, and a new Ghent place register.
- Gent Mapped is funded through a project grant from the Department of Culture, Youth and Media of the Flemish Government and through Clariah-Vlaanderen.
- Even after this launch, Gent Mapped continues to grow, and the partners continue to develop the heritage presentation and enrichment via GentGemapt.be.
