Amnesty International Ghent, in collaboration with Amsab-ISG and Ghent University, is organizing an exhibition of Lucie Kamuswekera at St. Nicholas' Church during the Ghent Festivities in 2025. You can purchase a piece by Lucie to support her and ensure her creations are featured prominently at the exhibition.

Commissioned by the General Belgian Trade Union Confederation (ABVV), Amsab-ISG made a compilation film on the occasion of its 75th anniversary (1945-2020) .

The exhibition about Variétés at Huis Marseille, featuring photographs from our collection, appeared in the Groene Amsterdammer and the Dutch newspapers NRC and Trouw.

On Monday, May 13, the Belgian Association for Contemporary History (BVNG) is organizing its biennial study day, "Day of Contemporary History," in Brussels. This year's theme is the history of subaltern groups. Amsab-ISG is participating in this topic with a session on LGBTI+ in its collection.

Amsab-ISG lent a telling photo from our collection for the documentary series We Women on Canvas.

On September 7, 2023, a new exhibition about Antwerp during World War II . Amsab-ISG provided several reproductions from our collection.

Ghent University is offering a new postgraduate program in Heritage and Society , designed to meet the numerous challenges facing the heritage sector in our super-diverse society. It is aimed at current and future professionals from the broader heritage sector. A sector day will be held at Amsab-ISG on Thursday, May 16th, where the program will be introduced.

Martine Vermandere , public relations coordinator at Amsab-ISG, told the radio programme Pompidou on Klara more about her new book about the historically prominent woman Lalla Vandervelde.

The exhibition "Histoire de ne pas rire. Surrealism in Belgium" runs until June 16, 2024, at Bozar. Amsab-ISG loaned numerous works for this exhibition.
