Digidaar (online)

Since January, our current resident at Digidaar has been the artist Radwan. On March 26 he presents the result of his work: VoemTropy.

For this online exhibition, Radwan used collage to symbolize the origins of Voem as a 'Big Bang', resulting in a universe of fragmented artworks.

VoemTropy is a virtual exhibition that explores space as the only domain where the past remains visible and preserved.

VoemTropy is a virtual exhibition exploring space as the only realm where the past remains visible and preserved. Through mixed-media collage and photography from the Voem archive, the exhibition narrates the origin of Voem as a symbolic “Big Bang” and traces how moments, events, and experiences accelerated, collided, and dispersed into the present.

The project reflects on entropy, randomness, and memory — revealing how chaos and order coexist in the formation of identity, history, and creative evolution.

Digidaar is the virtual museum and archive center that we are developing in collaboration with Voem vzwThe online environment offers an opportunity to showcase Voem's heritage in a unique way and to actively engage with it.

About the artist

Radwan is a Syrian-born collage artist and mechanical engineer based in Bruges, Belgium, since 2019. Radwan’s artistic work is characterized by a fusion of technical precision and imaginative freedom, reflecting his deep passion for surrealism, distinctive visual language where logic meets dream.

“Through my art, I aim to explore themes that connect personal experiences with broader, universal ones, hoping to create visuals that others can relate to and find meaning in.”

In addition to his personal artistic practice, Radwan is actively involved in community art projects in the form of workshops in Flanders and Brussels. His collaborations extend to commission work for different clients such as DOCFEST festival, as well as participation in different exhibitions, notably Front Expo, input / output, Everything Soep and many more.
