Studio Stone

Cami and Sasha Stone's work is spread across various international collections and reflects a life that took them from Berlin to Brussels, via the United States and Paris. Despite the importance of their studio's activities during the interwar period, their oeuvre remains largely unknown.

During the research phase of the Studio Stone project, a significant amount of work by Sasha and Cami Stone was unearthed. What's available online is compiled on this page.
The images are listed for each museum/archive that holds works by the Stones. Not everything is available online, so at the bottom of this page you'll also find a list of institutions that hold works by the Stones whose works are not included online here.
The thumbnails are clickable and refer to the photos and publications in the online databases of the managing institutions.
A large portion of these are shared via IIIF (International Image Interoperability Framework). This is an emerging standard for image exchange, which also enables zooming, rotation, annotation, and more. The associated metadata (IIIF manifest) is also available via IIIF, and the images can be easily downloaded.
