By registering, making accessible, enhancing, and gathering and sharing knowledge about the archives and collections of individuals, families, and private organizations in Flanders and Brussels, Archiefpunt promotes the preservation and management, research, and public outreach of documentary heritage and contributes to greater archival awareness. The ambition is to make Archiefpunt an accessible resource that guides, informs, and connects everyone around private archives.
As an archives consultant, you support various target groups in the care of private archives and collections.
- You provide training on archive care and management;
- You provide first-line support via email, helpdesk, telephone and site visits;
- You gather relevant knowledge, expertise and practical examples and develop additional expertise where you deem it necessary;
- You maintain contacts with the cultural archives and the cultural heritage field;
- You facilitate working groups and set up new partnerships;
- You will implement a new website with a database together with your colleagues and work on the continuous optimization of that file;
- You manage web content on archiefpunt.be.
