De Verbroedering began as a monthly magazine, but from January 6, 1901, it was published weekly. Publication was interrupted at the outbreak of World War I in August 1914. It reappeared on April 20, 1919. De Verbroedering is an important source of information for the activities of the socialist workers' associations in Ronse, Oudenaarde, and the surrounding area, where workers were primarily employed in the textile industry.

The collection has been digitized up to and including the 37th year (1936) and was made full text searchable using OCR.
