In the early 1990s, the ABVV archive was deposited at Amsab-ISG, followed by several additions. In 2006, Luc Peiren and Paule Verbruggen compiled an inventory of the entire collection. This year, archivist Gert Van Overstraeten completed a substantial addition to the archive .
It primarily contains material from the ABVV's secretariat activities covering the period 1980/1985-1998. This final dating roughly coincides with the ABVV's new federal structure from 1997 onward.
