With the support of, among others, the Flemish Amateur Music Organization and Kusterfgoed, Ostend native Geert Vanmaeckelberghe recently published the book Fietsen & Trompen (Cycling & Trumpets) . Two years of intensive research resulted in a delightfully readable and photo-rich book about the phenomenon of bicycle bands in Flanders. The author gives a captivating lecture about his book, which also features the bicycle band L'Aigle from Ghent.
There's no better place to present the book than the public area of Amsab-ISG, where the exhibition "Klein verzet" (Little Resistance ) is currently on display, entirely dedicated to cycling in all its aspects.
After the performance there will be an opportunity to purchase the book.
