Voem vzw is one of the archive creators of Amsab-ISG. This socio-cultural association has been active for over 35 years as an inclusive bridge-builder in our incredibly diverse society. Since the coronavirus pandemic, Voem has expanded its operations to the digital world with DiverzCity, a 3D virtual world where people can meet and collaborate.
With Digidaar, we are adding an archive and museum space to DiverzCity. Here, visitors can interactively explore Voem's heritage and discover the new art that it creates.
Digidaar is a product of the Heritage and Diversity in the Metaverse project (2024-2026). The name means "digital home" in Arabic. Throughout the project, we will work closely with the communities surrounding Voem to further develop the virtual space. The first meeting, aimed at older members of the community, took place in Brussels in October 2024.
The next activity is scheduled for April 27, 2025, at the Winter Circus in Ghent , on the occasion of Heritage Day. Everyone is welcome to explore the virtual world of Digidaar that day. More information will follow.
