This nomination allows Feestlokaal Vooruit, operated by the art institution VIERNULVIER , to participate in an international nomination series on Workers' Assembly Halls. This series highlights how social housing symbolizes the social impact of the labor movement worldwide. The nomination series is led by the Danish Arbejdersmuseet (Arbejdersmuseet) and includes social housing in six countries:

  • Argentina: Edificio de la CGT (Buenos Aires)
  • Australia: Victoria Trades Hall (Melbourne) and Broken Hill Trades Hall (Broken Hill)
  • Belgium: Party venue Vooruit (Ghent)
  • Denmark: Labor Museum (Copenhagen)
  • Finland: Easter Torni (Helsinki)
  • United Kingdom: Durham Miners' Hall (Durham)

Amsab-ISG is contributing to the nomination dossier by substantiating the historical significance of Feestlokaal Vooruit within the international network of community centers. The dossier will be submitted in early 2026, with a decision from the World Heritage Committee expected in the summer of 2027.
