Amsab-ISG once again participated in the annual meeting of the IALHI network, with a noted presentation on objects of activism .

The annual conference of the International Association of Labour History Institutions (IALHI) took place this year in Nanterre, France. This year's host institution was the renowned international library La contemporaine (formerly known as BDIC). It was an intense four-day conference with more than 30 presentations and approximately 70 participants from 18 countries and four continents, as evidenced by the online program .

Amsab-ISG, a long-standing member of the IALHI board and chair of the organization twice in the past, was once again actively present. A highlight was the presentation by our colleague Nina Moens, titled " Pinned up? The challenges of conserving protest objects. Case study: the badge .

During the General Assembly, chaired by Anja Kruke (Archive of Social Democracy), several important decisions were made. A new membership fee structure was proposed: €125, €250, or €400, depending on the size of the institution. Significant changes were also approved regarding the annual conferences and the organization's online and social media presence. IALHI is a network with over 120 members and therefore very successful, but in recent years it has become increasingly difficult to involve the many new members sufficiently in its operations. Hopefully, the new plans will bring about a change.
