This year, you can once again enjoy the photo exhibition " Schafttijd" ( Snack Time) during the free summer festival "Boterhammen in het Park" (Botterhams in the Park), from August 26 to 30 in Brussels.

Just like last year, we'll be showcasing both historical images from Amsab-ISG's extensive collection and contemporary images taken by photography students at KASK and participants in the Linx+ Moving Photographers competition. It's also the perfect opportunity to listen to the podcast " A Short History of Lunch Break ." In five episodes, Sven Speybrouck takes you back to lunchtime, past and present.

You might not have realized it yet, but our lunchboxes reveal a great deal about our society. Not only what we eat, but also how we spend our breaks tells us a lot about social shifts, work-life balance, ecological awareness, and how the world blows into our lunchboxes. The Amsab Institute for Social History chronicles this evolution with images and a stimulating podcast.
